[The Doctor lowered the sonic slowly, watching Rory for any signs of, well, anything, and he licked his lips a bit in nervous anticipation as he asked.] Well? How’s it cooking? Or not cooking- or settling. Settling might be the more appropriate word there. How’s it settling? Is it settling?

Uh… [Rory poked his stomach a few times, half expecting to feel intense pain. But it was fine. The pain was fading, nearly gone now. He looked up at the Doctor.] I’m okay. I mean, I think you fixed it. [He sounded surprised, like he almost expected the Doctor to mess something up. Rory felt a bit bad about that.]

[The Doctor let out a laugh that was equally surprised and relieved, pushing a hand through his hair as he stood up straight and paced back and forth in the room a few times.] I fixed it. [He repeated Rory’s words with a certain glee to his voice, then turned to him with a grin, crossing back across the room and bending down to plant a kiss right on gob.]

[Rory didn’t really have much time to react - as soon as he realised what was happening the kiss was over.] Wha- you kissed me. I mean, thanks.  [He was surprised, but in a good way.]
